Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our cabin building process
The timeline for building a custom cabin varies based on size, complexity, and location. Typically, the process takes 6-12 months from design to completion. This includes 1-2 months for design and planning, 1 month for permits, and 4-9 months for construction.
We serve all of Western North Carolina with a focus on the mountain regions including Asheville, Boone, Blowing Rock, Lake Lure, Highlands, Cashiers, Banner Elk, and surrounding areas. We’ve built cabins throughout the Blue Ridge Mountains.
While we don’t directly sell land, we work with trusted real estate partners who specialize in mountain properties and can help you find the perfect location for your cabin. We also provide site evaluation services to ensure your chosen land is suitable for building.
Our custom cabin packages include architectural design, engineering, material selection, construction, and project management. We handle everything from foundation to finishes, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and interior features. We work with you to customize every aspect to match your vision and budget.
Yes, we partner with several lenders who specialize in construction and cabin financing. We can help connect you with financing options that work for your project. Many of our clients use construction-to-permanent loans which cover the building phase and then convert to a traditional mortgage.
Yes, we understand that sometimes changes are needed. We work closely with you throughout the process and can accommodate modifications. However, changes made after construction has begun may affect the timeline and budget, which we’ll discuss with you in detail before proceeding.
